Dr. McRae Asks some important questions of interest to Smyrna residents - Chiropractor Smyrna Dr. McRae Asks...

How do chiropractors help ADHD?
There is agreement that ADHD is a nervous system disorder. And while chiropractic isn't a treatment for ADHD, if your child has vertebral subluxation complexes, resolving them will often produce profound results. Click here to learn why more and more Smyrna parents are choosing natural chiropractic care rather than dangerous psychotropic drugs.
Are aches and pains good or bad?
While aches or pains may be unpleasant, they're merely warning signs. As a Smyrna chiropractor, I see this all the time. The pain is not the problem! It just means a limitation has been reached and something needs to change. That's when we get to work correcting the underlying cause.

Chiropractic

The cornerstone of our clinic is Chiropractic care. Chiropractic is a branch of healing arts based on the understanding that good health depends, in part, upon a normally functioning nervous system – especially the spine and the nerves extending from the spine to all parts of the body. It is a drugless, non-surgical therapy utilizing manipulation of the spine and extremities, as well as massage, physical therapy, nutrition, exercise and wellness counseling to prevent and treat disease.

As Chiropractors, we use a number of highly-effective adjusting techniques to help improve spinal biomechanics, reduce nervous system interference, and relieve pain. The approach we use is based on our judgment and years of experience. We modify our techniques to fit people of all ages and walks of life.

These techniques include:

Diversified

After identifying which vertebrae have lost their normal motion or position, a specific manual thrust is applied to free up "stuck" spinal joints. read more»

Activator Methods®

This is a system of spinal evaluation combined with a handheld adjusting instrument that delivers a consistent, low-force thrust. read more»

Thompson

Thompson Terminal Point technique is a system of analysis and a special table that reduces the amount of energy needed to adjust your spine. read more»

Massage Therapy

When the 4th century BC physician Hippocrates wrote, "The physician must be acquainted with many things, and assuredly with rubbing," he was referring to the healing power of what we now know as Massage Therapy. By itself, the physical, mental and emotional benefits of Massage Therapy reflect are numerous and well documented. When combined with Chiropractic, the results can be life-changing.

Massage Therapy:

  • Promotes relaxation and a sense of wellbeing
  • Loosens tight and aching muscles
  • Diminishes chronic pain
  • Increases flexibility and range of motion
  • Lowers blood pressure

  • Speeds up recovery from injury and illness
  • Strengthens the immune system
  • Reduces mental and emotional stress

We offer Massage Therapy in combination with chiropractic care, or in individual 30, 60 or 90 minute sessions.
